Heart of Compassion Missionary Ministries is a ministry with a global mission dedicated to Reaching People and Touching Lives Around the World with a Heart of Compassion.
We have conducted missions throughout Africa in the countries of Zambia, Zimbabwe and Ethiopia, as well as in the country of Haiti and India. We are reaching people and touching lives through our ministry by giving, serving, teaching and preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Zimbabwe - we helped construct an orphanage in the city of Domboshawa which is 20 minutes outside the capital city of Harare. The need for orphanages is great because Zimbabwe has a higher number of orphans, in proportion to its population, than any other country in the world. Most of these cases are a result of parents dying from AIDS.
India is a country of spirituality, philosophy, and also, a land of many gods and goddesses. The most dominant religion in India today is Hindu. Currently, there are over 900 million Hindus which represents about 84 percent of the population. We are serving in the state of Andhra Pradesh and have partnered with a ministry that is focused on reaching those in tribal area villages who have never heard the gospel and caring for displaced children.
Ethiopia is the second most populous country in Sub-Saharan Africa (85 million) and is also one of the world’s poorest nations. Approximately 39 percent of the population lives on less than $1.25 (U.S.) per day. Poverty, limited resources, adverse weather conditions affecting agriculture and little alternative sources of income have contributed to the crisis. Additionally, close to 14 million Ethiopians, 20% of the country’s total population has difficulty finding enough to eat. In a joint effort to help people out of the cycle of poverty, we are partnering with other ministries that have similar goals and objectives.
